Citylink ajust the ticket for the Scottish Junior Cup

Scottish Citylink has been unveiled as the new sponsors of the prestigious nationwide Scottish Junior Cup.
The leading express coach company has signed a deal with the Scottish Junior Football Association which will now see teams battle it out for the ‘Citylink Scottish Junior Cup’.

The move follows the end of an 18-year long association with OVD and comes just in time for the semi-finals of this year’s competition which includes the four teams - Linlithgow Rose, Kelty Hearts, Arthurlie and Kilwinning Rangers.

The Scottish Junior Cup brings local communities together as 164 junior clubs across the country attempt to get their hands on the famous trophy.

Commenting on the sponsorship deal, Tom Johnston, Secretary of the Scottish Junior Football Association, said: “We are delighted Scottish Citylink has agreed a sponsorship deal which will allow us to build on what has become one of the most well known football competitions in the country.

“The Junior game brings great excitement and involvement to local communities throughout Scotland and we are looking forward to giving supporters of all ages the opportunity to support their local clubs as they compete for the ‘Citylink Scottish Junior Cup.”

The rounds being sponsored by Citylink in the remainder of this season’s Scottish Junior Cup are the semi-finals on 13 April and 20 April, and the final on 27 May or 3 June.

Tom Wileman, Managing Director of Citylink, said:
"Citylink was keen to lend their support to the Scottish Junior Football Association as we recognised the wide appeal this event has within communities the length and breadth of the country.

“We wish the four semi-finalists well as they edge that step closer to winning this famous trophy.”

Citylink is a leading coach company with a comprehensive network linking over 200 towns and cities across Scotland and offers more than 400 services every day on comfortable, modern coaches.
